How It Ends

Spoke to Jeremy this evening on the cellular telephone. Bittersweet.

The band is no more. Not Colorblind Soldiers. Not Critical Theory. Not anything, with the current incarnation of Jeremy-Josh-Caleb.

The twins are leaving Musician's Institute to pursue acting careers.

Jeremy will continue writing, recording, and working with a variety of musicians in the Hollywood area.

This post also marks a change for the focus of this blog. Ostensibly, it has been about the band, but my connection with the band is really through Jeremy, so that is what I will be focusing on. Really, nobody actually reads this right now, which is okay. Someday they will, when some enterprising Frye-boots wearing intern from Rolling Stone is scrounging for background on Jeremy M. Long, they will likely stumble upon this.

So, for the time being, I will continue to occasionally post updates on the life of my little brother, Jeremy M. Long, and the career he is carving out for himself, and Kate Beckinsale.

Farewell.

Kate

So, the band just hung out with Kate Beckinsale. Apparently, she was very nice. They are smitten, it sounds like, but nothing serious has developed yet.

No word on whether she will be returning to the Underworld franchise.

Class

I spoke with Jeremy earlier this afternoon. My hope was to interview him about his classes at Musician's Institute, but unfortunately, he was in class. It leads me to question why he would answer his cellular telephone in class.

(he may have been between classes)

We spoke briefly about Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto (is undecided) and Mates of State's Mountaintops (has not heard).

Basically, he was of little help, and I am disgruntled. Mostly, I am disgruntled because he is not coming home for Thanksgiving, and I miss him terribly.

Name Change

Over the last couple weeks, the band has made the decision to change their name.

Colorblind Soldiers is no more.

Minus the legendary Trino "Trigger" Ochoa on drums, the remaining three are holed up in Hollywood carving out a SoCal niche as...

Critical Theory.

Gonna take some getting used to.
